What is the English word to describe a walking style - not lifting the slippers and the irritating sound come?

Dragging lol I always remember one of my Primary 3 form teacher. Her name is Mrs Fox, she always advise us not to drag our feet when we walked because it is a really very very very bad habit but she does that herself. Maybe she knows and she cannot change her bad habit and that is why she is advising us every moment.

I am very grateful to her kind reminder but too bad; I never have a chance or know where I can tell her a big thank you for this.
Reply:scuffing or dragging ... the shoe companies love customer like that ... their shoes spoils very fast :)
Reply:put oil under their slippers
Reply:Scuffing, so called because such walking often leaves "scuff marks" on the floor.
Reply:I don't know *shrugs* scuffling/ shuffling (?!)

Personally, I prefer dragging, lol=P

I hate it when people drag their feet like that, it's annoying to say the least.
Reply:Shuffling.
Reply:Shuffling,Sliding or Dragging your feet.It is pure laziness if they all do it.I can understand if someone has had surgery or a reason for this problem .But if they all do this for no particular reason.then it is ridiculous and annoying as hell.
