Getting rid of odor in slippers?

My husband%26#039;s slippers are fairly new and they have a bad odor to them. I have tried to wash them, but the stink is still in them. Does anyone have any ideas to get rid of the odor? I would appreciate your advice on this.

baking soda will neutralize the odor. sprinkle it in and let it set for a while. shake out the excess and they are good to go.

if for some odd reason the odor should remain wash them again...but pour white vinegar into each one and let it sit while the washer fills up.

one or the other of these will be your solution. :)
Reply:put them in a brown paper bag with a piece of charcoal in them for about 2 days...close the bag...the charcoal will absorb the odor
Reply:Put unused Fabric Softener sheets in each in the morning after he gets dressed. Of course take them out each time he puts them on again but just keep repeating this and the smell will be gone.
Reply:try spraying them with lysol it will get rid of the odor caused by bacteria spray them every morning after he takes them off or before he goes to bed at night this should help.
