What is the best way to clean Havaianas slippers?

Anyone got tips on how to clean Havaianas slippers to remove the %26quot;footprints%26quot; left on the sole? My toes seem to leave dark spots on my havaianas and I try to brush them off with detergent but this doesn%26#039;t seem to work and my hands get so tired!! Hope someone could help me.

Is it me, or my white Havaianas seem to get cleaner with Beach Sand and Saltwater... I guess the sand gets through the little spaces on the footbed. The saltwater just washes it all away. So I guess the best place to wear your Havaianas (especially the white ones) is really on the beach!!! :D

For urban use, try white toothpase and a firm toothbrush. It sure helps keep my leather Adidas Sneakers looking like new!
Reply:try using lemon.
Reply:wet a paper towel, put a little bit of soap on it, and scrub on the shoes. when you%26#039;re done, make sure to rinse the shoes thouroughly.
Reply:i use a mixture of detergent and bleach. but don%26#039;t be too heavy-handed with the bleach though because it may erode the slippers in time.

some of my friends swear by soaking and scrubbing their havaianas too.
Reply:burning it.
